Dennis was a true son of the South.

As a pilot, I was frequently on a trip when the latest and greatest "Hotline" was recorded. My best memories are those that involve in sitting in a darkened van, on my way to a hotel, listening to you verbally work your way through the next set of great opportunities. Although it was a recording, those recordings seemed to be meant just for me. I sure do miss that nasally voice. We never met, but I know you and you are missed. I am envious of the new customers you have obtained in the undiscovered country. I will be along one day and look forward to having a good talk.

I don't remember how I found Dennis's Newsletter, but reading it was always the highlight of the month's collection of magazines and mail. As an airline pilot, I am frequently out of the country, and beyond easy telephone access to his twice weekly recording. My favorite memory is arriving in San Francisco before dawn from Hawaii, turning on my cell phone, and on the drive to the hotel, listening to that nasal voice telling me the important news of the last few days. Dennis never knew me, but I knew him. He has a family much bigger than he supposed. And he is missed.

It's 16 August and I'm shocked! My wife and I were discussing our 401K's and whatnot and she said someone said get "gold and google". I thought, I know just who to call. And now this.
I knew Dennis back in the 80s. He lived with my family before getting into writing about gold. Dennis and I had a small lawn care business as well. When my first wife left me, Dennis was one of the very few, who told me what I needed to hear, and did it with love. While he delivered pizzas for Dominos in an old Chevy LUV truck (that I had to constantly work on,) he learned about precious metals and commodities futures. Lost lots of money. Put what he learned to use and you all know the rest. Hadn't talked to him since he was just about to get married in Vancouver a few years back. I'll miss him, but we'll meet again on the other side.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to the Dennis Wheeler family. He was a unique, brilliant analyst- (in my view, the best) of the very complex metals markets (especially gold), mining companies, and all the diverse economic, political, as well as global influences. Very importantly, he was a man of obvious excellent integrity, judgment, vision, courage and scholarship. He will be greatly missed. G.R. Pettit

My Uncle Dennis was a wonderful man. I will miss his sense of humor at my wedding coming up in two weeks. I wish he was going to be there to entertain everyone with his personality. We looked forward to seeing him every Thanksgiving and hearing him sing on special occasions. All of his nieces and his nephews will miss him greatly. We love him and can not wait to see him and my grandmother in heaven one day!

I have eagerly awaited all of Dennis Wheeler newsletters and emails. I use many newsletters to assist me but truly without exaggeration I have found Dennis' newsletter the most helpful, accurate, concise, with no sales hooks as most the other letters are always selling another program to generate revenue. I am still not only in shock, I am lost as I have come to be dependent on the information and recommendations of Dennis Wheeler in the last 2 years.
I know he is with our Father, I know he was in his element while here with us and helping us unselfishly in his best way. I felt his Christian leadership and I am proud of him doing God's will. He is a Mentor to follow while we are here to help one another.
My love to his family, we will all miss Dennis. His family is in my prayers and Dennis is in Heaven where "the streets are paved with gold", as witnessed by Don Piper, true life story author of 90 minutes in Heaven by Don Piper, out of body experience and returned to this world.

I had the pleasure & distinct honor of meeting Dennis at the CofCC Conference in Madison, Alabama a few years back. I am grateful for that meeting. Dennis was truly a Southern Treasure, and champion for the cause of TRUTH...I regret that he was taken from us so soon, as there was yet, still much work for him to do...as is for those of us who presently remain here on earth. We have a great responsibility...Dennis was doing his Duty...as there is no more sublime word in the English language...he answered the call and will be sorely missed.
At the 7th Annual Birthday Celebration of Lt. Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest, at Fort Dixie, Selma, Alabama, held 8 July 2006, we held a silent moment of prayer for Dennis & his family. Again, we will truly miss him.

For the Family and friends of our beloved brother, son and of course the "gentle" man we all loved and adored - Dennis you will never be forgotten.
There are simply not enough words to describe the void we all will feel when the next gathering comes up and you will not be there. I will personally miss your sense of humor and the moments we have spent talking about world issues. I will also miss the times we talked about the market and all the other companies you had so much hope for.
I have many special memories and and will cherish the time we spent together from Chile to Mexico.
Dennis I thank you for all the support you gave me in all the things I have done. You will alway be remenbered with great respect.
Rest in peace

Mr. Wheeler will be sorely missed. I am a small time investor -- but Dennis helped my accounts grow by more than a thousand percent in the five years that I have been reading his newsletter. I always hoped that I could thank him personally some day. He was a friend to me even though I never met him. May he be blessed in Heaven for the great service he rendered to so many here on earth.

I have been a subscriber for a number of years and always looked forward to the newsletter and words of wisdom that Dennis had. We have truly lost a great man but at the end of the day he is a better place than we are. While I never met him in person, I will always be reminded of him whenever the word gold comes up.

Remarks prepared by W. W. “Chip” Wood,
publisher, Gold Stock Report, for delivery at the
Dennis Wheeler Memorial Service, July 6, 2006:
I’m honored to be asked to spend a few moments talking about my friend and colleague Dennis Wheeler. As many of you know, for more than a dozen years he wrote a newsletter we were proud to publish called Gold Stock Report.
Mark Twain once described a gold mine as a hole in the ground with a liar at the top. In an industry with more than its share of scoundrels and scalawags, Dennis was well known as a man of absolute integrity. He could not be bought or bribed. In every situation, he put the interests of his subscribers first. As a result, people around the country and indeed throughout the world came to rely on him for his advice. And he made many of them a great deal of money.
Dennis was fiercely loyal to his readers … to our company … and to the principles he held dear. As you know, he was a man of passionate convictions. Some of his opinions were controversial. But he was never rude or arrogant about them. I heard it said that when it came to defending his views, Dennis had the calm confidence of a preacher holding four aces.
Yes, there is much in this world he was not happy about. Government grown too big … taxes raised too high … politicians too arrogant … voters too trusting. He could sound off on these and related topics for hours, and often did.
But he had a lighter side too. He loved to dance. And ladies and gentlemen, I am here to tell you, the ladies loved dancing with him! If you doubt this, please take a few moments to review the electronic guest book that Mackay Mortuary has established. Read how many have written to say how much fun he was. What a great dancer he was. And how much he will be missed.
Yes, he will be missed. But he is now in his eternal home. And here’s an amazing thought: For the first time ever, he has absolutely nothing to criticize! But you know, if improvements in heaven were possible, I think Dennis would be among the first to say, “God, have you got a minute? There’s something I want to talk to you about.”
Thank you, Dennis, for informing us … for inspiring us … and many times, for amusing us. It was a pleasure to know you and a privilege to work with you.
God speed, my friend.
Garret Wood

It always seemed to me that Dennis belonged in another era. He was a man of honor and strong convictions. I often thought that he was puzzled by the way the modern world worked -- and the way most people act.
Yet he always responded with kindness. And I can't think of a time he thought of himself first.
I will miss seeing him strolling outside our office here at Soundview -- pipe in hand and smile on his face.
I'm sure he's strolling inside the Pearly Gates now!

On June 29, 2006, Dennis wrote in his Gold Hotline "everything is going to be ours again soon". This was indeed prophetic, as "soon" was the next day. Well, at least for Dennis, everything is now his, as he will be able to examine the pearly gates and gold paved streets in person. Having had the pleasure and opportunity to talk with Dennis many times over the years, I can say unequivocally that he and his integrity will be missed. God Speed to you Dennis, we will think of you as gold goes to $1000 and beyond!

To me, Dennis is an exceptional person.....full of life, highly intelligent, clever and funny, with an unique manner of telling a story, generous with good words and deeds and a believer --- a man of class.....
Many could always depend on him. I attended his funeral and discovered that he pursued many interests and possessed many accolades and friends. His nieces and nephew (who resembles Dennis in good looks and personality) as well as his father, sister and brother loved him dearly and will miss him so much. I will always be reminded of Dennis..... He was a wonderful dance partner and always put a smile on my face.... Thank you, Dennis.....

Although I never met or spoke with Dennis, I feel like I have lost an old friend. So much of Dennis came out in his letters and e-mails and I always looked forward to each and every one. Although I have only been an investor for a few years, I have come to really enjoy it. Dennis helped a lot and will be dearly missed. Whenever I buy or sell a mining stock it will remind me of him.

I have attended various hard metal "gold" shows since 1993. Of all the newsletter writers (famous and not-so-famous) Dennis always had time to address and answer my questions. He genuinely cared about my investment concerns, and always left me with renewed optimism. Dennis seemed to say with a smile "life is much more than gold stocks, enjoy the journey". He was an unsual thinker and I will miss his insightful commentary. My God bless him and his family.

Unlike Dennis, words are not my forte, but I wanted to try and express how much he will be missed by all of us at Soundview. I was lucky enough to spend time with him in the office before he moved away. He's also been my "date" at several company functions and we talked by phone on a regular, but not frequent enough basis. He always made me laugh, always had kind words and it was obvious to anyone who spoke to him or read his newsletters that Dennis was brilliant. The world's loss is Heaven's gain. I can't believe he's gone. My deepest sympathies to Dennis' family. I will never forget him.

Just wanted to take the time to let you know that Dennis was a friend of mine. I saw him on Friday nights. Dennis was an excellent dancer ( self taught ). Psalm 149: 3: " Let them praise his name in the dance; let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and the harp." Psalm 150 as well. Dennis praised God very well. He was a gentleman with finese and flair. His personality lightened up the room.
Many will miss Dennis and were heart broken when we heard the news; Life is paper tissue thin and any of us could meet the Lord at any time; most often when you least expect to.
My condolences to all family and friends.
