Louisville - Dennis Ray Williams went home to be joined with his Savior and Lord on September 13, 2024. Dennis was born on September 26, 1953, as the fourth son of Willis and Lou Allie Williams in Maryville, TN. He grew up in the Louisville community. He was a graduate of Friendsville High School, the University of Tennessee and Ohio State University. He worked many years in the field of Geo-Tech and Civil Engineering. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school to 3 year olds. Dennis served as a Board member to Tennessee Right to Life. Preceded in death by: parents, Willis and Lou Allie Williams; brother, Bruce Williams. He is survived by: brothers, Larry (Noy) Williams, David (Karen) Williams; sister, Donna Carver (Kevin); nieces and nephews, Josh (Nickie) Williams, Samantha Blair (Scott), Nathan (Sara) Williams; Kristen (Justin) Sendelweck, Emily Atkins (Joe), Taylor, and Marshall; great-nephews, Tanner, Landon, Rhett and Jace; great niece, Caroline. Dennis loved the mountains, hiking and canoeing. He loved OSU football, but always made sure we all knew his favorite color was Orange. Dennis loved the Lord and wanted everyone to know Jesus and be saved. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Tennessee Right to Life, Knoxville Chapter, PO Box 5218, Knoxville, TN 37928 or Broadway Baptist Church Foreign Missionaries, 2329 E Broadway Ave, Maryville, TN 37804. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 PM, Friday, September 27, 2024 at Broadway Baptist Church. A Celebration of Dennis' Life will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, September 27, 2024 at Broadway Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Collings officiating. Condolences may be shared at www.SmithFuneralandCremationService.com. Servicing the family is Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
