BRADENTON, Fla. —

Denton F. Pillion, of Bradenton, formerly of West Falmouth, and Indiana, Pa., died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at his home.

He was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen A. (McGuigan) Pillion for 46 years.

Denton was a member of the first graduating class at Stonehill College in 1952. He was a professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a lector at St. Elizabeth Seton Church. He was a World War II Army veteran.

He enjoyed living in the warm climate of Florida, good food, and spending time with his family, friends and dog, Cinnamon.

He is survived by two sons, Kevin P. Pillion of Bradenton and Marty R. Pillion of Camp Hill, Pa. He is also survived by his two sisters, Eleanor LeBlanc of Roslindale, Mass., and Yvonne Pillion of Waltham, Mass.; and two grandchildren, Derek R. Pillion and Christopher M. Pillion. He is predeceased by his son, D. Sean Pillion.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Road, North Falmouth. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 6, in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 W. Falmouth Highway (Route 28A), West Falmouth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, c/o St. Elizabeth Seton Church, P.O. Box 861, North Falmouth, MA 02556.
