Denver Eugene Eldridge

Denver Eugene Eldridge, Sr. passed away at his home in Lanesville, IN on December 6, 2024 after a long battle with cancer.

Denver was born on March 27, 1955 to the late John Canada Eldridge and Gladys Marie (Morgan) Eldridge in Antigo, WI as one of 10 children.

Denver was a "jack of all trades" who had certifications in computer programming and HVAC. He was a skilled mechanic, avid NFL fan, and he had a talent for building and fixing things. You would often hear him say "Well I could make that!". He was an excellent cook (the kind who never followed a recipe!) and made the best chocolate peanut butter birthday cakes.

His biggest contribution in life was how he loved. Denver was slow to anger and quick to make you laugh with a silly joke or telling stories from days gone by. He was a devoted husband to his wife of nearly 40 years, Denise and the best dad to his son, Denver, Jr. (Joni) and his daughter, Melissa. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Summer, Cameron, Katie, and Abigail, and one great grandchild: Vivian. His siblings: Sandy Dillard, Darlinda Shipley, Ronda Antz, Jim Eldridge, Romelle Odle and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by siblings Betty Black, Tim Eldridge, Marilyn McCafferty, and Kenny Eldridge.

He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him, including his "Bengal boys" Jimmie and Billy but it is without a doubt Denver was welcomed to his heavenly home with a "Well done, good and faithful servant." A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
