Derek William Kuffert passed away on January 14, 2017. He was a loving husband to Alana and they shared 10 happy years of marriage. He was father to his sweety, Kayleen and stepson Bryce. Born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, he was the eldest son of Willie and Judy Kuffert. He attended Rabbit Lake High School and furthered his education with the University of Saskatchewan to obtain his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He was presently the Regional Sales Manager at CF Industries. Derek was a member of the Lutheran church through his early years. Derek was an outdoors enthusiast and could be found on the lake fishing in either summer or winter, riding his snowmobile, downhill or cross country skiing, and pretty much anything that involved the outdoors. He was a member of the Priddis Greens Golf Club and spent many hours on the course. Derek and Alana shared the same love for adventure and travel. Derek will be remembered for his big smile, his outgoing personality and his love for his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Alana; his daughter Kayleen; his stepson Bryce; parents Willie and Judy; his brothers, Jason (Anita) and Devin (Tara); nieces and nephews Zane, Kiara, Shayna and Kaden; his mother-in-law Shirley Dinwoodie; sisters-in-law Gillian (Dave) and Cara (Mark); nephews Brady, Brodie, Brayden and Thomas. Derek is predeceased by his father- in-law Tom Dinwoodie; grandparents and uncles. A Funeral Service will be held at DEKKER CENTRE (1-623 Carlton Trail, North Battleford, SK, S9A 4A9) on January 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University of Saskatchewan, Memorial Scholarship in Agriculture by selecting "Other area as specified in the comments" from the drop down list.
