Derek WATTS Obituary
October 23, 1972 – November 18, 2015
With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Derek at age 43 from brain cancer at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre. He was surrounded by family. Derek is survived by his loving wife Susan, his adored children Griffin and Harper, his loving parents David and Diane Watts, sisters Kimberley and Kelly, their spouses and children. He is also survived by his mother-in- law Maria Arruda, sisters-in-law, their spouses and children and by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, great-aunt and uncle. Our heartfelt thanks go out to his caregivers in the hospital, the family and all his wonderful, supportive friends that kept his spirits up. A viewing will be held at 1-2 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2015 at Hendersen's Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Rd., Abbotsford. Burial Service to follow at Hazelwood Cemetery, 34070 Hazelwood Ave., Abbotsford. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Reception to follow at the Legacy Banquet Room (east of the track) at Abbotsford Exhibition Park, corner of MacLure Rd. and Tretheway. Enter at Gate 1 off Tretheway St. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the BC Cancer Society would be appreciated or a charity of your choice.
