Derrick Davis

On November 12, 2020, I lost my Lil´ Kenny as the result of a one-car auto accident in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I have not been the same since.However, after watching the film "Lucky Girl," I hope that the spirits of Derrick & Lil´ Kenny meet, and that Derrick guide Lil´ Kenny as if he were his older brother, as they traverse through the afterlife.

May God continue to provide comfort to his family and friends. Many blessings and continue to rest in perfect peace. You will never be forgotten your soul is external.

Just finished watching the ending portion of "Lucky Girl." Will try to catch it from its start later (it was on-demand) to understand how Deejay's life & the movie intertwine. To his family, I hope you have been experiencing the power & presence of God's comforting love over the last five years since Deejay's death. Peace to you.

DJ I am so heartbroken, words can't express how much I loved and will miss you and how proud I was of you. You were a role model to all the young men in your neighborhood. You did everything "right". When all the odds and the world were against you, you hung in there and succeeded. I will keep all our texts we shared when you were preparing to apply to college and how you made yourself your own bedroom in my new home and closed the door. I had the pleasure of meeting DJ 15 years ago on the field of the Southwest Cowboys and he had a smile that would brighted your day.
