CROWE Desmond AM Former VFF President and livestock farmer, Mr Des Crowe AM passed away pacefully on Wednesday 11 July. Des represented Victorian farmers as President of the Victorian Farmers and Graziers Association between October 1982 to 1986. He helped establish the Victorian farmers Federation in June 1986 and he also represented farmers nationally as Chairman of the Australian Cattle Council. He was a true gentleman and his passing is a great loss to agriculture. Des and his wife Joan operated a sheep and cattle farm at Codrington, he was awarded an Order of Australia for his service to the industry. We are saddened by his passing and our thoughts are with his loving family.
