We are saddened to hear of Mimi’s passing. She was a wonderful friend and neighbour when we lived in the Chautauqua. We will remember always our visits, meals and meet ups in Ryerson park with the dogs. Mimi was one of a kind and will be missed.

My son Luke was fortunate to have had Miriam as his JK/SK teacher. Her classroom was a magical place for the children. She understood children in a way most teachers did not. She had great respect for them. And it showed in all her interactions. She was a great mentor for the parents who were lucky enough to see her in action.

Miriam was a fearless, creative and compassionate soul . Every day was an adventure in our Kindergarten classroom at Kew Beach School. Flying whales, baby ducks in a pool, exploding mashed potato mountains...always laughter and never a dull moment! A joy to work with for so many years and a loyal friend .I can still hear that wonderful laugh.

Miriam was a delight to have in my life as a friend and constant source of good humour. Her wild disregard for conventional modes of thinking and acting set her apart from all others. My partner Triene Lower worked alongside Miriam at Kew Beach School for a number of years and also delights in recalling the wonderful times they shared in the classroom. We will remember Miriam always for her great love of life and generous love for others.
