DESTINY NIEVES

I am incredibly sad to hear about Destiny's passing. Though we haven't seen each other in years, Destiny and Dawn are a part of so many of my cherished memories from our years at Dance Express growing up. I would have given anything to trade feet with Destiny so I could look like she did in pointe shoes! Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

I'm beyond shocked and sorry to hear this. She just always was a fighter, i didn't think it would win. My story about Destiny is how she came to my house to make sure i was ok. When my daughter had her high school graduation a huge storm hit right when we were supposed to leave. We lost power and trees were down preventing us from getting there. She knew i was sick about so she and Marcos came to my house to sit with me and make me feel better.

I met Destiny in Junior High and considered her a friend all through high school. She was a gifted dancer, had a sharp sense of humor, and possessed a creative spirit. One of my most vivid memories from high school was a class trip to Washington DC to visit the Holocaust Museum. It was an emotional experience and I like to think we carried each other though it. I can't believe how quickly time passes. I'm grateful to have known her and am keeping her family close in mind

Prayers for strength for Marcos and rest of the family.

I worked with Destiny at Banner. She was one of the kindest people I knew. She always had a smile on her face even through the hard days... I will truly miss her smile and her friendship! I send my sincere condolences to her family for the loss of this incredible woman. All of you will be in my prayers.
