(nee Tol)
Peacefully at the Township of Osgoode Care Centre on Monday, November 5, 2012, Vera Vriend in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late John Zuiker and the late Dirk Vriend. Loving mother of Catherine (Delmer Armstrong), Chris (Marilyn), Connie (Norman Atherfold), Peter (Claire), Trudy (Jan Korsgaard), Ted (Tina), Frank (Donna), Marian (Ian MacDonald; late Dave Craig), Vera (Joe Hendricks), Gina (Kornel Hendrikx), Paul (Diane Fournier) and Marcel (Jennifer Cave). She will be missed by her 34 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in Holland. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. (between Metcalfe Corner and Scrivens Dr.) from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral Thursday to Parkway Road Pentecostal Church at 11 a.m. Private inurnment at a later date. Memorial donations made to
Township of Osgoode Care Centre or the Alzheimer's Society would greatly appreciated by the family.

I remember when I was at Osgoode Care with Ted, and Cathy, and the other brother :) when the choir sang for the home at easter, it was so nice to see her smiling and enjoying herself. Even though we will greatly miss her, no tears passed the gates, and she is at peace and with a whole mind and body again.
