Deanna Dahl, PhD
October 18, 2018
I was looking on the internet to find out where Devon was now living and going to get in touch with him to have him tell me about his trip to Sweden. He had mentioned it sometime ago in one of our email messages. I went to school with Devon in Kaysville, Davis High. My parents owned Dahl's Mobile Homes in Layton.
I am terribly shocked to see he recently passed. I hope and pray his family is going to recover from his passing. I am so sorry for your loss.

Carma and family. We wish to express our deepest sympathy and love to you and the family after the passing of Devon. You both are such great friends to us. We had great times together. Dee had a really funny personality; it was fun to be with him. We would certainly be to the funeral if it were possible for us to do that. With Love Bob and Lili Gurr

Hi Carma and family,
Its Rob Hawks from Geelong Australia wishing to offer condolences to you and the family.
Peter and I first met Devon at the Million Dollar Round Table in San Francisco about 43 years ago, at that first meeting Devon invited us to come to visit you guys for a few days.
We never really expected to see him again, but sure enough, he turned up on the last day of the conference with airline tickets in his hand and advised us that you Carma would meet us at the LA Airport.
You were great hosts and we really enjoyed being with you for those few days.
The one event I have never forgotten was when Devon invited us to join your church service and when the service was over we were truly amazed that everyone stayed behind to meet us.
We had attended our own service in the morning, and just like at home we had the feeling that if you tripped on the steps you would be in danger of been trampled.
I still smile and remember every time I leave our church on Sunday.
I had hoped to return and see you all again but circumstances have not permitted,
and In Devon's case, it may have to wait awhile, I have just promised my newest grandson that I will stick around until his 21 birthday.
God bless you all, and I still hope to catch with you Carma and the family in the not too distant future.

I will really miss Brother Dahl. What a great man. He was so welcoming to me and my family when I first moved into his ward. He had such a great sense of humor and a quick wit. One of my friends told me that when he returned home from his mission he saw a report of who helped to support him financially on his mission. He was surprised to see that Devon Dahl made payments each month to help him on his mission. This was done quietly with no fanfare. Brother Dahl had such a great testimony and strong faith. I am grateful for his example. He has a wonderful wife and family. All my love to you all.
