Dewey Lee Jones

Dewey Lee Jones UPPER On September 6, 2025, at the age of 91 years, Dewey Lee Jones completed his journey on earth and joined other family members in Heaven. Dewey was born in Houston, Texas to LeBaron and Arah Prestwood Jones. At the age of 11 years, he accepted Christ and was baptized in Lindale Baptist Church. He attended and graduated from Aldine Senior High School, Pipefitters Trade School, and joined the US Coast Guard Reserves (12 yrs). He was a member of Melrose Masonic Lodge #1294. Dewey was married at age 21 to Daisy for 71 years. They have two daughters, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. After retiring, Dewey enjoyed living on the Bolivar Peninsula, participating in community events, fishing, hunting, golfing, and especially visiting with family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, LeBaron and Arah Jones; brothers, Edward Jones (wives Norma and Barbara) and Benny Jones (LaVerne). He is survived by his wife, Daisy Leona Jones; daughters Gail Anne Lewis (John) and Janet Marie Lell (fiancé Roy Kelley); grandchildren Travis House (Jessi), Elissa Ewers (Richard), Brandon Lell (Lauren), and Lindsay Lell; great grandchildren Eliana House, Barrett House, Jacqueline Lell, Brynn Ewers, and New Baby Girl Lell; and special niece Karen Jones Potter (Rory).
