It´s been 8 years and I swear it hasn´t gotten any easier . You have so much more grandkids that you should of got to meet I love you daddy and missing you so much

It maybe seven years, but you haven't been forgotten in our memories. Rest in peace for you will need it when we meet again.

Years may go buy, but the memories of the good times are passed on in stories to our Children so that loved ones are never forgotten.

Al, five years have gone by since your passing. You taught me much when I arrived at NLPD, and like so many other cops said, the time always seemed enjoyable in your company. RIP my friend! Chris

Uncle Al was one to bring mischief and laughter to family cookouts.
He was lots of fun to be around.

Dear Sharon, Clay, Charlotte, and the entire circle of Al's family n' friends,

Clay and Charlotte are longtime friends to both Mindy and me, so we share your grief, grief that is painful, but necessary. Indulge it; it is the price we pay for this lost love, but, too, the measure of that love's impact on our lives.

Understanding the hole left behind, regardless the inevitability or forewarning, pray this helps some wee bit to allow and enable that grief! So truly sorry to hear about Al. The loss of such a beloved presence: husband, father, brother, grandfather, friend affects so many of us. At least now he's at peace with our Lord; definitely keepin' y'all in our prayers!

When my mother died, even after a years-long battle with cancer, I was shattered by the loss...inconsolable...she was my mentor! I like to think that I got my character from my father, but my mind and its capacity from m'dear sainted mother!!! BUT, "If your faith assures you she's in heaven, then what are the tears all about?!?" I hold eternity dearly close...a cherished, hard-won prize...but, in the interim, that answer lies below.
SELFISH TEARS

Today we cry...must admit they're selfish tears.
You see...our faith assures your journey's done.
But it's not for you we mourn, at all, my dear;
It's for those of us you've left behind...alone!!!
