Diana Frances DePew

Diana Frances DePew, 60, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away unexpectedly on Sunday November 5, 2023 at her residence.

Diane was born January 17, 1963 to George DePew and Sharon Wallace. Diane attended and graduated from Reed City High School. She spent her entire life in the Baldwin, Chase, Reed City and Big Rapids area until she moved to Port Charlotte, FL in 2019 to fulfill her dream of living near the ocean.

Diane was an avid Lions fan and would love to host football Sunday gatherings with her family. She loved to garden, thrift, garage sale, go to the beach, vacation, spend time with family and friends, and enjoyed ice cold Bud Light, fresh brewed unsweet iced tea, a good spicey Bloody Mary and an occasional toke of the Ole' Mary Jane.

She loved and was loved by so many. If she did not like you and she did not tell you directly, her face would. Her children, grandkids, nieces and nephews were her pride and joy and she would do anything for any of them.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her stepfather Dwayne Farmer, her sister Erica A. DePew Kerr, and her brother Tommy DePew.

Diane is survived by her sons Jared (Brandi) DePew of Rankin, IL and Jacob (Jodi) DePew of Port Charlotte, FL; brother Paul DePew of Big Rapids, MI and sister Pa Tricia DePew of Baldwin, MI; Grandkids Jaden DePew and Devin DePew; much loved nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and extended family. She additionally leaves behind to celebrate her life several amazing friends which she always considered family including her lifelong friend of over 40 years Audrey (Wheetley) Carter.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Debbie's Sportsmen Bar in Baldwin, MI from 2pm to 5pm, where friends and family are encouraged to come and share stories and memories of Diane.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you go to your favorite watering hole or place you enjoy and have an ice-cold drink (or two) in her honor.
