Diana was a great lady. The leadership, support, and friendship she gave us at Daughters of the Nile was tremendous. I enjoyed knowing her and hearing stories about her trips and growing up in Washington, D.C. Bob, please accept my condolences.

So sorry about Mom Diana. We had great times in Jobies when I was active in early 80's. I know she'll be missed. I wish I could attend the service, but prior plans interfere. God bless the family.

The Amazing and Wonderous ways of God. I never met the late Mrs. Dodd, yet I encountered or met Mr. Dodd, this morning @ the Wyndham in Beltsville, Md. This meeting was orchestrated by no one else but GOD. My wife are staying @ the Wyndham to attend the wedding of my oldest son being held @ The Villa, a beautiful venue right across the road. We went down to have breakfast when I encountered Mr. Dodd, he was moving somewhat deliberate so I asked if he needed assistance, he said No, yet I was a bit insistent to help, which he welcomed. When we arrived to the cafe, we were notified that we needed a coupon, so I went to get three, Mr. Dodd and my wife sat while I retrieved the coupons. When I returned to the table Mr. Dodd asked my purpose for being @ the hotel, I shared for my oldest son's wedding, that's when he shared that he was here to lay his wife of 53 years to rest. Talk about an awakening, that type of contrasting purposes will do. There was a fee for the breakfast coupons, I requested that Mr. Dodd to allow me to pay it forward for his breakfast, he declined but again; I had to insist, he allowed me to honor him and I did. I guess it shouldn't matter, yet I am a retired DoD Intelligence agency civilian; African-American and as you know Mr. Dodd is Caucasian. You see, my Dad passed away in 1999, he was the greatest example of a man of God, husband and Dad, I learned respect and honoring your fellow man from him. I'm praying comfort and peace for the entire Dodd family today and in the coming days. May God be with you and Bless you all.
Today my oldest son is beginning his life with his bride and today Mr. Dodd is laying his bride to rest; how poignant can it get.

I never knew Diana as I live in Scotland and discovered by chance this morning that I share her name. That's why I'm sending my deep condolences to her family on this sad day of letting her go. It looks like she had a long and happy life. I do hope you can remember all the good things.
