Diana Lavonne Hipple, 63, of North Platte, passed away December 27, 2021 at Great Plains Health. She was born on August 2, 1958 to Ralph and Esther (Kembel) Christman in Minneapolis, MN.
Diana graduated from Martinsville Indiana High School with the class of 1977. She graduated from University of Nebraska at Omaha with a degree in biology.
Diana married George Hipple on April 6, 1985 in LaVista, NE. The couple lived in North Platte and Diana worked for the State of Nebraska for 35 years.
Diana loved drinking red beers with her DQ group at the Hub Bar. She was a great poker player always doing well in tournaments. Diana liked to cook but she loved to feed a crowd. She loved when people would gather around the table and enjoy a meal. Diana didn’t have a lot of hobbies in the typical sense but how would she have the time, she worked a full-time job, worked part time for her husband, and loved and cared for her children.
Family was the center of her life especially her grandchildren. She loved caring for others, giving gifts big and small and as often as she could. Diana was selfless and put everyone else first. She worried for the well-being of those close to her but even for those she didn’t know well or hadn’t seen in years. Diana loved the Lord; she was always praying for someone.
Survivors include husband, George of North Platte; children, Jad Hipple of North Platte, Geona (Shawn) Custer of Severance, CO, Joanna (Anthony) Ford of Littleton, CO, Jayme (Sam) Sanford of Oceanside, CA; grandchildren, Eric Ford, Jack Ford, Nicholas Ford, Benjamin Sanford, Grace Sanford, Sophia Hipple, Noa Hipple, Ellis Custer, Hugh Custer, Calvin Custer; numerous other family members and many friends.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ester; brothers, Roger and Ron; sister Debra Christman.
Memorials are suggested in her memory. Online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.
