After much time, I want to say what Mom's legacy is to me. She was a woman of kindness. Mom was always finding ways to put a smile on your face with her banter and expressed her love by giving and not taking. Those gifts that she was able to share in life were, what I believe, her fruits if faith. Jesus is our Joy in our life and the love we share with others always comes from Him, our Loving Savior for "We love because he first loved us" (1 John 4:19) So that legacy was Christ love for her which flowed when she showed kindness to others and her wonderful gift of giving. I am Diana's daughter - law- Sue. She was loved much!

Ms. Diana was like a grandmother to me. She was always so supportive and thoughtful to everyone around her. She came to my violin concerts and always made me feel so special. Her house had a comforting feeling and smelled like her delicious cookies. She was such a talented artist and she would give me her sketch pads and sit with me to paint so that I could pursue my love for art as well. I will always love and miss Ms. Diana dearly, but find solace in that she is in heaven.

Ms. Diana has been my neighbor for over 15 years. She is a type of person full of positive energy that radiates to others like a warm sunshine. She has a caring heart always willing to help others in need. When my mom passed away 11 years ago, she comforted me with love and compassion which I´m grateful for. Ms. Diana is a very special person who loves to garden, paint, and bake. During spring, she would hold my hand and give me a tour of her garden planted with variety of plants, flowers, and herbs. During hot summer when my dad works on his yard, she brings a bottle of cold water and tells him not to work too hard. For Valentine´s Day and Easter, she would bake all different kinds of cookies and her famous banana nut bread to share with neighbors. So many precious memories that I will always keep in my heart. Thank you for your friendship and love. I´ll miss you very much.

God smiled on us when we moved to the same neighborhood as Diana. A lovelier person I have never known. She loved to garden and paint and we received many of her paintings. Will always cherish. If you ever received her cookies and banana bread you know she was a fantastic baker to boot. You will be missed Diana, but now go fly with your Mom.

Dina with all the love you instilled in me, I thank the Universe for having met you, in a world full of deception and false christianity: your LIGHT shone like a million suns. Your love for life, RESPECT for ALL and infinite compassion, are gifts that you gave selflessly. On our talks, your easy laugh and wonderful warmth kept us switching from English to Italian, and I kept you past bedtime. You filled my heart with the pure love, one can ONLY feel for a universal mother! And you allowed me to call you that: Mother, with such a breathtaking gift I bring you along in my life, and we will keep you present as someone as Wonderful as you must be kept. I was touched by an angel, if such a mythical figure exist.

In a world where kindness matters, Diana was a light! She saw beauty wherever she looked, but mostly in people she chose to love. Her spirit could fill up a room and she was endlessly thoughtful. What a lovely legacy lives on in Donna and Don, who share so many of these traits. You will be missed, but not forgotten sweet Diana.
