Diana Mastrostefano

Diana Ann (Marino) Mastrostefano, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 11, 2025, at the age of 92. She was surrounded by love in the early morning hours, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.

Born on January 1, 1933, in Rochester, New York, Diana was the cherished daughter of John Francis and Mary (Danesi) Marino and the beloved sister of Dr. Louis A. Marino. She grew up in the Charlotte neighborhood of Rochester, where she enjoyed a joyful upbringing filled with family and community. Diana graduated from Nazareth Academy High School in 1950, laying the foundation for a life marked by dedication and kindness.

In 1953, Diana married and began a new chapter in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Together with her mother, she lovingly raised her three children while balancing a career as a medical secretary and assistant to Dr. Rita Marino until her retirement in 1995. Following her retirement, Diana and her mother relocated to Acworth, Georgia, where they embraced their golden years together.

Diana found immense joy in gardening, cooking, painting, and traveling-pursuits that brought light to her days and smiles to those around her. Her radiant smile and boundless acts of kindness left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Above all else, Diana treasured her family; they were the center of her world.

She is survived by her three devoted children: Donna Lynn (Donald) House of Greensboro, Georgia; Michael Jon (Sue) Mastrostefano of North Prairie, Wisconsin; and John Francis (Deborah) Marino of Niceville, Florida. Diana's legacy lives on through her grandchildren-Sara Hink, Megan Moore, Mary Wiberg, Andrew Marino, and Joseph Mastrostefano-and ten great-grandchildren: Xavior Evans; Lihanna Evans; Danesi Evans; Irais Evans; Michael Moore; Penny Moore; Alexander Moore; Greyson Hink; Jaxton Hink; and Brinley Hink.

Diana will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her warmth and generosity touched countless lives and will be remembered with love.

A Catholic Mass and burial will be held on Friday, June 13th, 2025 at the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church 4492 Lake Avenue Rochester, NY at 10:30 AM. There will be an interment to follow at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 11:45 AM. A lunch will be held afterward.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Georgia Hospice Care for their compassionate support during Diana's final days.
