Diana Partain Obituary
Diana graduated from the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Science in Art Therapy, a testament to her passion for helping others. Her journey continued when she married the love of her life, Joshua Leahy, on October 17, 2004, in the beautiful setting of Rocky Point, Mexico. Together, they moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where Diana pursued further education and earned a Master of Occupational Therapy from Midwestern University.
Throughout her life, Diana's kindness and love were evident in everything she did. Her friends, coworkers, and neighbors all have stories to share about her generosity and fierce determination. Diana's impact was so profound that she was named Volunteer of the Year for the Mesa Fire Department earlier this year, a testament to her dedication to serving others.
Diana had a great love for her fur babies, and she considered every dog and cat hers to protect. She rescued those that she could. Her love extended to birds, horses, and coyotes who roamed the neighborhood. On every trip from Mesa to Strawberry, she always watched for the wild horses, excitedly pointing them out to those traveling with her. From her first love, Yo-Yo, to her current loves, Jack, Jasmine and Echo, her fur babies knew she was devoted to them.
Diana is survived by her loving husband Josh, their daughter Amii, parents Earl and Teresa Partain, brother Jeff, nephew Jordan and his fianceé Bryn, and great-nephew Jace. While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind. Diana's spirit will continue to inspire us all, and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 3 p.m. at her home in Mesa. There will also be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in Yankeetown, IN at Yankeetown United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Mesa Fire Department Home Safety Education Program in honor of Diana's efforts.

I know this from talking with her mother, Teresa. She had a very strong faith in Jesus Christ and He helped her through the rough times. And she had plenty of those but never wavered, or lost her faith, or trust, in Him.

I only knew her when we were quite young but I remember flowing hair and alot of smiles. I have grown up with the whole McDonald family and I love each of them and I am sending them all prayers of comfort during this time of such great loss
