Diane M. Calhoun

Diane Marie (Rector) Calhoun, age 80, of Jenison passed into eternal life on July 16, 2021. She had a passion for ministry to children and youth in the Grand Rapids area, performing in the Children's Bible Hour and serving hundreds of teenagers over 30 years alongside her husband. Diane was born in 1941 to Edwin and Ruth Rector of Grand Rapids. She married Robert J. Calhoun in 1959 and enjoyed 61 years of marriage. She is preceded in death by her sister, Shirley and her parents. She is survived by her husband, Bob; children: Julie (Michael) Klingeman, Jodie (Scott) Roberts, Jack (Jennifer) Calhoun; and her brother, Daniel (Nancy) Rector. She is also survived by grandchildren: Ryan (Joy) Klingeman, Joy (Samuel) Arroyo, Robert (Heather) Klingeman, Andrew (Brittany) Roberts, Amanda (Brian) Pleune, John (Erin Dunlop) Calhoun, Samuel Calhoun; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A burial will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 2:30pm. Instead of gifting flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods.
