Diane Cannon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 20, 2024.
Diane Mary "Gigi" Cannon (née Lally) was called home to Jesus on March 19, 2024, in Westerville, Ohio, at the age of 84. She was born on October 3, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents John "Jack" and Frances Lally, her brother Thomas Lally, nephew John Lally, nephew David Sarther, sister in law Pamela Foushi, mother and father in law Frank and Bernice Cannon, sister in law Diane Sutkus, and brother in law Joseph Cannon. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Frank Cannon, her children Cindy (Larry) Stapleton, Lisa (Dan) Broomall, Frank (Lindsay) Cannon, Tracey (Dave) Moody, and Meagan Cannon. Sister in law Mary "Scan" Lally, sisters Connie (Dave) Sarther, Mary Lally, Suzie Lally, brother in law Don Sutkus, sister in law Cathy Cannon, and sister in law Debbie (Gary) Slade. Her grand and great grandchildren, Chris (Carol), Gabriella, Caleb, Henry, Samantha (Mike), Oliver, Remy, Camden, Sarah (Jacob), Palmer, Owen, Anna (Jimmy) Greyson, Harrison, Kayla (Pat), Allison, Rachel (Brian), Matthew, Ryan (Samantha), Mason, Katie (Jason) Nick (Rachel) and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. To know Diane is to love her. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and an adoring Gigi. She had an amazing sense of humor and was incredibly creative. She adored dogs and asked for a puppy all the time! She loved visits with her grand dogs. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, and her love and pride were felt every day. She was feisty and funny and fought a tough battle with Luey Body Dementia right until the end. Her faith in our Father and Heaven were deeply felt and she passed peacefully surrounded by her family. We are incredibly grateful for her caretakers Margaret, Vida, Dorinda, Angelina, Charity, Christine, and the staff of Mount Carmel Hospice. The love and comfort given to our mother is immeasurable.
