Believe it or not, I was just asking him about her and didn´t even know she died. So sorry to hear this. We had so much fun at Diane`s store on E. State St. next to the Faust hotel all the fun little games on the tables and such a good spirit. She was a wonderful woman. Rest in peace.

As one who had the privilege to know her and be empowered and blessed by her words and countenance, I am saddened that this world will no longer be graced by her presence. She radiated acceptance and love--wisdom and strength. I can't imagine that anyone who spent any length of time in her presence left without feeling better and stronger for having known her. Her legacy rests in all of us--My condolences to all her family--Jerelyn Forman

Diane had such an amazing and wonderful deptth of feeling and compassion for people. I met her at Avalon when I was new and nervous, and she ....was just so loving and supportive, made you feel like you really are sacred, and good enough exactly as you are, ... what a gift. I remember talking with her, she was key in helping me decide to go ahead & select my magical name of Aphrodite. She was a real goddess. I am deeply saddenened to hear she has passed, & send blessing & prayers for her peaceful crossing and peace and strength to her family & loved ones.--Aphrodite

Diane's bookstore, The Source, was an oasis in the desert for me while I lived in Rockford. She was kind and an inspiration to all.

Dolly and I were great friends when we too lived on Ridgeway Avenue and my memories of her beautiful face will always comfort me. She not only was beautiful but her soul, being eternal, will live on and her "shining light" that was so apparent when we saw each other after so many years at our past reunion will always be kindled in our hearts. Bless you and condolences to her wonderful family

As a classmate from Von Steuben high school in Chicago, I remember Dolly (as she was known then) by her friendliness and beautiful smile. I'm glad we all got to see her again at the 50th reunion. My condolences to her family and friends. -- Felice Koloms Sachs

Bubbie was very kind and loving. She always put a smile on my face, even when she was in the hospital. It's hard for me to accept the fact she is gone. She will always be in my heart. Bubbie taught me to love others even when it is hard. I could talk to her about anything, and she would listen. Her advice was always the greatest and helped me to forgive and forget. I love you, Bubbie. May you rest in peace. granddaughter, Alexandria

I was lucky to reconnect with Diane at our 50th high school reunion. I spent most of Saturday evening with her just chatting about the past and what she accomplished. She was a very special woman and I was sorry to hear about her passing. I was happy that I got to know her after not seeing her for 50 years.
