In memory of
Mary Schaffert
January 21, 2008
To Mrs. Hannigan's Family,
Mrs. Hannigan was my daughter's 4th and 5th grade teacher. She was a wonderful teacher and I attribute much of Ashley's foundation to Mrs. Hannigan. Ashley learned a great deal from her and will always remember her fondly. Ashley is in college and we contacted her about Mrs. Hannigan's death she was very sad. Ashley read Mrs. Hannigan's retirement speech at Roy B. Kelley when they dedicated the trees to the retiring teachers. I am sorry for your loss and your family is in our prayers.

Such sad news. I haven't seen Diane for many years, but do remember her well from LHS, Trinity Lutheran Church and Valparaiso University. She was a good friend during that time in our lives. My prayers go out to her family.

To Diane's Family;
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of such a wonderful person. She was the most influential teacher had. I would go back each year after having her to help out after school. She taught me alot about life through out middle and high school besides what she taught me in my younger days as her student. She really cared about her students and I know that I am not the only one that will truely miss her. God bless you at this time of mourning.

Diane was a dear friend. She will be missed very much. We loved to talk on the phone and chat about all that was going on and what will happen next!!! She is someone that loved deeply, gave completely and had a passion for life. As Susan said when she called me, Diane touched many lives. Mine included.
