DIANE LINDEN Diane Linden, 79, of Granite Falls passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Rock Haven Church in Granite Falls. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Diane Lea Linden was born March 5, 1944, in Gary, Ind., the daughter of Charles and Olive (Leopold) Robinson. She attended school in Gary until her family moved to Sioux Falls, S.D. when she was in 9th grade. After graduation, Diane attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D. It was during college that Diane met the love of her life, John Linden. Diane and John were united in marriage on July 17, 1966, at her home church in Sioux Falls. The couple began their life together in White Bear Lake. They were blessed with two children, Angie and Jason. Diane first worked at War Memorial Blood Bank in Minneapolis where she gained experience as a lab tech. Later she became a special education paraprofessional in White Bear Lake. Diane also helped John at their business, Linden Pharmacy. She was very active at First Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake and later at Rock Haven in Granite Falls. Diane lived her faith from very young until God took her home. She had a solid, childlike faith that she taught to her children and grandchildren. Anyone that met her could readily see her deep anchor. Diane was always helping and caring for others. This was evident by the many places she volunteered including the Living at Home Block Nurse Program, Yellow Medicine East Schools, Heart to Heart Caf{e'}, and the Building Bridges Choir. Diane was the organizer of "Mystery Trips." These were trips for her grandchildren and only she knew where they were really going. Another cherished memory is that her family would take a yearly trip to Grand Marais on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Diane would come with totes full of crafts and activities designed to bring laughter and togetherness. Diane is survived by her beloved husband, John Linden of Granite Falls; daughter, Angie Linden Jans of Granite Falls; grandchildren, Kylie (Jory) Bossuyt, Samuel Jans, Caleb Jans, Peter Linden, Gustave Linden, Anders Linden; great-granddaughter, Olive Linden Bossuyt; brothers, Charles (Marcie) Robinson, Denny (Elaine) Robinson; brothers-and sisters-in-law, Jim (Dianne) Linden, Marge Johnson, David (Jane) Linden; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Olive; son, Jason Linden; sister, Sherry; sister-in-law; Carolyn Telder. Memorials may be directed to Rock Haven Church in Granite Falls. Arrangements are with Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Granite Falls. For online guestbook, please visit http://www.wingbain.com.

I am so sad to learn of Diane's passing but so blessed to have gotten to know her and to have called her a friend. Not only did Diane have a gift for making everyone feel accepted and loved but she was a model of strength and courage for us all. I met Diane in 2016 while she was a board member at the Granite Falls Living at Home Block Home Nurse Program and I had just started to work for the program. We worked together on several projects and I think it is safe to say her favorites were the Heart2Heart memory cafe and the Building Bridges memory choir. Diane shared her faith and love for life with many people. She will be missed. Blessed be her memory!
