Diane Natale Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 15 to Sep. 22, 2016.
Diane Alicia Natale, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at home. Diane was born in Harrisburg to her parents, James and Jennie Nickel. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Daniel, whom she met while pursuing her undergraduate degree at Penn State University, and her two sons, Anthony (Kristin) and Aron (Grace). Diane was the proud grandmother of Ava, Ian, Blake, Garrett and Evan Natale; and the loving sister of Nancy (Jim) Johnson, Laura (Wade) Seaman and Lois Nickel-Ward. Diane will be remembered for her big heart, devotion to family and friends and no-nonsense approach to life. A former art teacher, she loved working with kids. When she wasn't busy working for the family business or spending time with her grandchildren, Diane enjoyed reading, gardening and occasionally visiting the casino with her friends. In recent years, Diane and Dan enjoyed traveling throughout Europe with family and friends, making memories that will be long remembered.
Family and friends are welcome to a memorial service that will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 1570 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. Arrangements made by the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME INC., 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a gift to the following: the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, your local library or the Yough River Trail. www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.

My condolences to Dan and family. I taught with Diane and we shared a room while teaching. There was never a dull moment and we had a blast together. I loved her spunk, attitude, and love of the children she taught. I have many wonderful memories that I will treasure always. She was a very special lady. I'm sorry for your loss.
