Diane Viti Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 18, 2022.
Diane S. Viti of Cave Creek, AZ decided to use her first class heavenly ticket on April 2, 2022 at the age of 80 years old. She is survived by her husband, Vincent F. Viti II, her three children (Michelle Viti, Vincent F. Viti III, Heather Viti) her beloved brother Raymond Bianchi, five grandchildren (Gregory, Vinny, Jack, Samantha, Drew) and her spoiled cat, Rico. Diane was born Shirley Diane Schambach on December 8, 1941 in Covington, KY. Her family moved to Illinois in 1946 and resided in both Elmhurst and Glenview. She graduated from New Trier High School in 1960, and after attending Columbia College in Missouri, she worked at Goldblats Brothers department store with a talent for selling sweaters. She then proceeded to work as a model in Chicago, and if it weren't for her over-protective father, she would have been a coveted playboy bunny (she's probably still mad about that). She then worked as a bank teller at Home Federal Savings located in the loop in Chicago, until she married her husband of almost 60 years on June 29, 1963 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wilmette, IL. After welcoming their three children, the family moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1974, eventually settling in the town of Cave Creek, AZ, where she became a dental assistant. A few years later, Diane and Vince became small town famous for starting a waste management business from the ground up, named 'All America Disposal'. In her own words, "I went from modeling in magazines to hanging onto the back of a garbage truck." Diane was very involved in the Fiesta Days rodeo and parade which was originally founded by her husband and mother. The legacy has grown over the years and is now known as the Cave Creek Rodeo Days and parade. Diane spent her retirement years traveling the world with her husband, residing half the year in Florida, and the other half in Arizona. She had dreams of becoming a surgical nurse and held a love for all animals. She carried a passion for art, reading, all things beach and ocean, also sharing her mother's love of riding horses, participating in many rodeos and parades, including the famous Parada del Sol. Diane kept meaningful lifelong friendships while creating new relationships throughout her life. One friend described her as, "A one of a kind gem who always told you like it was ~ what you saw was what you got." We hope 'Lady Di' is sitting on the balcony of her penthouse cruise ship suite in the heavens, being served Korbel and Kendall Jackson, with a book in her hands... no bookmark needed.

What a beautiful tribute to your mom Heather! She was an AMAZING woman and will be missed by all who were blessed to know her! Your mama was definitely one of a kind!!! Thoughts, prayers and love to you all and just remember she will ALWAYS be with you all!!! The signs will be strong as that is the kind of woman she was - she overpowered the room - in a great way, and will continue to do so!! Love you Lady Di and I know you are at peace and smiling down on your family and friends and hopefully Scotty is twirling you around the dance floor up there too. xoxox

I was blessed to know Diane since I was a little girl. She was one of the most sophisticated cave creek resident I knew. She always lit up a room when she entered. I will miss her wisecracking sense of humor and her motherly talks. Rest easy D
