Diann Richardson Obituary
Diann was born on October 24th, 1947 the only child of her parents Richard and Dot Brannen of Statesboro, Ga of whom preceded her in death. Diann raised her two sons with husband Larry in Powder Springs, Ga and resided in Hoover, AL the last 26 years.
She is survived by her loving husband Larry Richardson and sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Katie Richardson of Helena, AL and Mitchell and Kristi Richardson of Hiram, GA.
She is also survived by her cherished Grandchildren Kevin, Bekah, Anna Marie, Chase, Griffin, Gracie and one great granddaughter Teagan.
Diann and her husband Larry celebrated 57 wonderful years of marriage on August 5th. Diann shared a love of music and enjoyed playing piano, spending time with her family and friends at the beach and traveling with her husband Larry. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so many. She earned the nickname "Pollyanna" for her ability to find the good in all things. To know Diann was to know her love for life and friendships. The greatest joys in life were celebrating her family.
We would like to thank Dr. Robert Snyder and his staff who were always there for the family. We also extend a sincere thank you to the many Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare providers who helped in guiding us through the final days.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 8th from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Aldridge Gardens 3530 Lorna Road Hoover, AL. 35216

I am so sorry to hear this news and my heart goes out to Larry and his family for the loss they are going through at this time.
I first met Diann when I moved to Statesboro after 4th grade and we became such good friends. Through elementary school, Diann and I spent a lot of time together at school, playing and at church. We continued being really good friends through school. She, Dot and Richard(her parents) and her grandmother were always so kind and thoughtful.

I am so sorry to hear this. We rented a condo Diann had. It was a few years ago. I was going through a divorce and it was my birthday. There was a birthday cake on the counter when we opened the door to the condo. We had kept in touch ever since. I will miss keeping in touch with her.

She may have been Diann, Mom, & Mema to others, but she was and always will be Nanny to me. I´m so terribly heartbroken to hear of this loss. She was truly one-of-a-kind and her absence will be felt by many. Nanny helped shape me into the woman I am today and I wouldn´t be who I am without her love and positive influence. So sorry to hear of Diann´s passing. Have fond memories of her and Larry during college years at Georgia Southern. Their house was always the fun spot to be. Diann was a beautiful person inside and out. So glad she got to travel with the love of her life, Larry. Prayers for peace and comfort for all the family. My heart breaks to learn of Diann´s passing. I did not know her for very long but the minute I did I knew she was special. She was always so positive and a huge support for me with my own mother´s diagnosis of ovarian cancer. I will cherish the times spent with Her, Larry, Gaye, Craig, Tom and Carol on Orange Beach. I never had the pleasure of meeting Diann in person, but we stayed in her condo at Orange Beach, she was always so accommodating and so sweet to talk to on the phone, we became Facebook friends after staying at the condo. I always enjoyed pictures of her & her husband´s many trips they took together...such a wonderful soul!

I Larry, I was so sad to learn of Diann´s passing. We had known each other since we were three having lived three houses apart on Lee Street in Statesboro along with Toy Mikell and Johnny Tucker. My heart just stopped as I read of Diann´s passing.
Diann truly was one of the kindest, friendliest, caring, positive and fun ladies I have ever met!
I met her many years ago, over the phone, booking her condo in Orange Beach, Al....we clicked immediately

Heaven certainly gained a beautiful Angel.
