Dianne Kathleen (Rudd) Johnson, 71 of Boise, ID passed away of natural causes Tuesday, May 16, 2017, in Kirkland, WA.
Dianne was born on February 1, 1946 in Pocatello, ID to Keith and Mary (McDermott) Rudd. She grew up in Nampa, ID and graduated from Nampa High School in 1964.
She earned a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Boise State University in 1994.
Dianne married Gary Johnson in 1982 and remained married until his death in 2015. She owned and operated a gourmet candy store in Boise, ID for several years and then worked with children with special needs for the Boise School District.
Her interests included enjoying time outdoors on her property in Cascade, ID, watching wildlife, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Dianne is survived by her two daughters, Kelli Callahan of Seattle, WA and Holli (Ron) Rogers of Chehalis, WA, grandson Michael Martorello, niece and nephew Jennifer (Dennis) Miller and Timothy (Carolyn) Rudd, and great uncle Jack McDermott of Pocatello, ID.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Kathy Rudd.
Special thanks to the staff of the hospice program at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, WA for their compassionate service.
Dianne will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, passion for the outdoors, respect for wildlife, and her innate love of the great state of Idaho.
In celebration of her life, services will be held at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise, ID on Saturday, June 24th at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Animals in Distress Association (AIDA) of Boise, PO Box 7263, Boise, ID 83707 in special dedication of Dianne's love and respect for mother nature.
