Shirley and Family,
My sincere condolences and sympathy to your family and friends. I only learned of His passing today. I was fortunate enough to work with Dick previous to his retirement. A gem of a man that always had the best interest of his work and family at heart. I am truly sorry that I could not pay my final respects.

Shirley and Family
Our sincere condolences in your loss.
I had the opportunity to work with Dick for several years promoting Hiram Walker Brands. He never stopped trying to become qualified for the job whether it was head of the Union, Mayor of Belle River or promoting Hiram Walker products. Many happy memories of good times together. His presence among us will be missed.

I was saddened to read of Dick's passing but it revived many happy memories of our days together at Hiram Walker . He was a "tough" competitor who took all of his tasks with a sense of determination and resolve . He fought hard for what he believed in and was never ready to give up the cause .He led the Union through some trying times ,including lengthy strikes .When the so called "battle" was over he was still your friend and I always respected him .In later years he did a great job in a very different sense as he promoted the Company products to the many people he served . His dedication to community service is to be admired and applauded . I extend my sincerest sympathies to his wife and family at this trying time .The memory of his broad smile and his great laugh will remain .

So very sorry to hear about Dick's passing. I served on Essex Council at the same time Dick served in Belle River. I always found him a font of information and willing to help a councilor who felt, at times, overwhelmed by what he'd gotten himself into. My thoughts and prayers are with you in the coming difficult days.
