TYLER -- Services for Dillard J. Cheek, 84, will be 2 p.m. today, April 11, 2006, at Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Cheek died April 8, 2006. Born March 23, 1922, in Alba, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II and supervised the daily operations of Cabell's stores throughout East Texas. Survivors include his son, Charles Cheek; daughters, Charolyn Sifford, Martha Hilger, Judy Cook, and Debbie Stanley; sister, Muriel Cheek; and brothers, Brevard Cheek and Bill Cheek.
