Dirk was my cousin who I was lucky enough to see in 2012 and spend some quality time together. We had a strong connection between us and kept in touch when I came back to Australia. He was a good man, a caring cousin who I have some special memories of. I love him dearly and am sorry I was not there to say goodbye today and support my family. Dirk I will love you always.

Since signing my lease with him almost two years ago, he has always been a genuine, honest, kind-hearted person who I've always looked up to. He was always proud of my career aspirations in the medical field and advised me that as soon as I graduate this may 2017,he would assist me on buying my first home. It is with great sadness that I hear of his passing and I will truly miss his personality, smile and hard-working demeanor. God did not just gain an angel, he gained a beautiful soul. RIP Dirk!

My young brother passed away so early in his prime life, I will miss you Dirk for the rest of my life, hate to say it, but I will be with you very soon.
