DEBRA PENIX
SCIOTOVILLE — Debra Penix, Age 69 of Sciotoville, went to be with the Lord October 16, 2017 at SOMC Hospital. She was born January 26, 1948 in Baltimore, MD to Frank and Mary (Nichols) Penix. She worked for 40 years at Flannery's Nursing Home in Portsmouth as a Nursing Assistant. Debra was very involved in her church, the Community Church of Jesus Christ in Highland Bend where she served as Treasurer, Secretary, and Board Trustee. She loved reading the bible, quilting, sewing, gardening, and flowers.
She is survived by a brother, William Penix of Sciotoville; sisters, Gail Lynn Harris of Portsmouth and Cathy Penix of Sciotoville; many nieces and nephews including Tawana (Jason Cochran) Seibert of Sciotoville, Michelle Stiltner and Ashley Penix, both of Portsmouth, Shannon Selvaggio, Christina Penix, and Stephanie Penix, all of Daytona Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Richard Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Haverhill Cemetery in Franklin Furnace. I'm so sorry to hear about Debbie....I worked with her at Flanner's ...Debbie was one of the Kindest and hard working person I know...we had lots of good times taking care of our patients....she will be sadly missed....prayers for the family....Fly High My Dear Friend!.
