DOWHANIUK, Dmetro It is with sadness that the family of Dmetro Dowhaniuk of Vegreville, Alberta announce his passing on March 30, 2003 at the age of 82 years. Dmetro will be forever remembered by his loving family, his wife, Mary of 47 years; daughter, Teresa (Brian) Damer; son, Darcy (Ann) Dowhaniuk; five grandsons, Christopher, Nicholas, Skylar, Dylan and Kieran. Dmetro also leaves behind two brothers, John (Elsie) and Nestor (Joyce); one sister, Elsie; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Maxim and Anna; seven brothers; and three sisters. Prayer Service on Friday, April 4, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Vladimir, Vegreville where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Father Gene Maximiuk officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Vegreville. In lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta or to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Vladimir's Foundation Fund.
