Dr. DO Max E. Helman

I just found out you passed away Dr Helman you were the greatest dr ever you brought me into this world and was my dr for over 20 years as well and my whole family's dr. You're up in heaven now with my mother Judy westerhoff. Thank you for everything Dr Helman you will be missed

I met Dr. Helman during my fourth-year sub-internship at South Bend Osteopathic Hospital. A gifted physician and gentleman he always had a kind word for the medical students. I would catch up with him over the years at conventions. He would buy the house staff a nice steak or lobster and have the cafeteria staff prepare it for us. I tried to emulate his kindness and skill over the years. Fare well kind sir.

Dr. Helman was my Dr. From age 3 to 21, an amazing, gentle man with an incredible smile and the ability to make anyone laugh! He genuinely cared. He was remarkable and I will always have the fondest memories of Dr. Helman Debbie and Lynn.

Dr. Max always greeted me with a smile and conversation. His healing went well beyond the medicines he prescribed. Thank you Dr. Max; bless you and rest in peace.

I think I was about 20 years old when I started working for Max. I worked for him three different times while my kids were growing up. He touched all of our lives and the lives of so many. He was one of a kind and always made me laugh. That smile and his funny sense of humor. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed by many.

Dr Max was a part of my life for many years. He was my employer twice, my co-worker in research, my dr for many years and a friend. I loved his sense of humor and his smile. He will be missed by me and I'm sure by many others whose path he crossed. Rest In Peace Dr Max until we meet again.
