Dodd Robinson

Dodd Edward Robinson, 66, passed away on September 23, 2025, in Needham, Massachusetts. Born on June 2, 1959, in Boston, Massachusetts, Dodd lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and an unwavering love for nature and those he held dear.

A graduate of Westwood High School, Dodd spent much of his professional life at Youlden's Hobby Shop in Norwood, Massachusetts. For 25 years, he was a familiar and welcoming presence there-someone who brought joy to customers and colleagues alike with his humor and generosity.

In his younger years, Dodd found adventure in mountain climbing across the United States. His love for the outdoors remained constant throughout his life; he cherished hiking through the woods and spending time immersed in nature. He was known to pick up litter during his walks-an act that reflected both his deep respect for the environment and his selfless spirit.

Dodd's heart was as expansive as the landscapes he loved. Though predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Maureen Robinson, he found profound joy and purpose in the company of his chosen family: Jennifer Lightbody, Julie Lightbody, James Maguire, Jack Maguire, Shaelan Clayton, Camden Clayton, and Colton Mitchell. The children of this chosen family held a special place in Dodd's heart; their laughter and milestones brought him immeasurable happiness. He never missed a birthday or holiday celebration-occasions he treasured deeply and approached with enthusiasm and care.

A man of strong faith, Dodd was a devoted member of South Walpole Church. His Protestant beliefs were a guiding force throughout his life. He also shared a close bond with local Walpole Police officers and counted many among them as friends.

Dodd's loyal companion Delilah-a beloved dog-was always by his side during walks through the woods or rides in the car. His giving nature extended to all aspects of his life; whether offering help to a friend or simply sharing a laugh, Dodd made those around him feel seen and valued.

Those who knew him will remember Dodd as funny, caring, and endlessly generous-a man who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have been part of his world.
