Dolores Bretones Castillo LUBBOCK-Funeral mass for our beloved mother, Dolores Bretones Castillo, 77, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Martin Pi a officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Felipe S. Castillo at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Family will receive friends at 6 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Mrs. Castillo passed away on July 11, 2016, in Lubbock. She was born on Sept. 10, 1938, in Almeria, Spain, to Francisco Bretones Gongora and Francisca Roman Ramirez. Dolores married Felipe S. Castillo on Jan. 17, 1967, in Eurlange, Germany. He passed away on Feb. 2, 2003. Her journey started in Almeria, Spain, where she was born, and then ventured to America leaving her friends and family behind. Through her knowledge, faith and steadfast devotion to Felipe Castillo (husband). She was able to overcome every obstacle presented to create and loving and stable household for her children and future generations to come. Lolita was a parishioner at Our Lady of Guadalupe and served as a Guadalupana for many years. Lolita will always be remembered and unanimously missed in the afterlife. She has begun a new adventure and passed with peace and without additional suffering. GOD BLESS YOU MAMA. She is survived by two sons, Phillip, Jr. (Ayumi) of Japan, Eric (April) of Lubbock; two daughters, Marie Ingrid Castillo of Lubbock and Cindy Castillo-Wilson (Eric) of Gilbert, AZ; sisters, Genoveva Bretones Roman, Manuela Bretones Roman, Encarnacion Bretones Roman, Francisca Bretones Roman; and brothers, Antonio Bretones Roman and Francisco Bretones Roman. Her legacy will carry on by her surviving 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and many godchildren.
