Kate, I so remember your mom as she handled the tragic passing of your dad. She was strong and took good care of all of you. We were roommates at that time at Holy Cross. Many many years ago.

To all of the Dowd family- I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Growing up on Madison Ave, I spent a lot of time at your house with Debbie. Even with 7 kids in your own family, your mom was always so welcoming to the neighborhood friends. I can still see her sweet smile as she walked every day down the street, greeting neighbors as she exercised. She was a very special lady. My sympathies to all of you at this difficult time.

I have many fond memories of my Summer days spent on Lake Sunapee which included fun times with Clare and Debby. I can still see Dolores in a long white dress dancing up a storm at the Lake Sunapee Yacht Club and bouncing along Garnet Hill Rd. What a very special woman!!!

Dear Dowd Family, I am so sorry for your loss. My family left Holyoke many, many years ago but a bit of all of us remains there. My Mom and Mrs. Dowd were friends and I have sweet memories of the "May Crowning" she did for years in your backyard. I got to wear my First Communion dress a second time on that occasion!
