Dolores H. Fuquay

Dolores H. Fuquay, 81, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017. She was born April 5, 1935, in New Kensington, to the late Herbert O. and Dolores P. Hilton Johnson. Mrs. Fuquay was a dietician for both the Gulf Research Laboratories in Harmarville and the America's Future Learning Center in Lower Burrell. She also worked at the Area Agency on Aging for the Elderly and Seniors at an Oakmont Nursing Home and was a private duty caregiver. She is survived by her children, Deborah (Ronald) Greene, of Arnold, Jeffery Cheatham, of Arnold, Lawrence (Adrian) Cheatham, of Atlanta, Ga., Sabrina Cheatham, of Columbus, Ga., Marsha (Franklin) Webster, of Columbus, Ga., Christine (Clifford) Guy, of Arnold, and Valerie (David) Daniels, of New Kensington; and siblings, Marpessa (Herbert) Goodwin, of Conyers, Ga., Herbert (Aleta) Johnson Jr., of New Kensington, Robert (Lithia) Johnson, of Tacoma, Wash., Beverly Buckner, of Petersburg, Va., Audrey (Donald) Cloud, of Vandergrift, Jacqueline Nelson, of Allegheny Township, and Pamela Jefferson, of Philadelphia; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Fuquay; and siblings, Maude Taylor, Patricia Johnson, Barbara Johnson, Merle Johnson, Albert Johnson and Valerie Fife.
Viewing will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Deborah Ayers.
