Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us.

I can recall so many happy memories of Dolores and Bob Hope. I was fan of both from a very young age. I remember with such detail the time when I was 10 years old or so and went to a Bob Hope show in Worcester,Ma with my parents as a surprise.Watching Bob on the Johnny Carson over the years was also a great memory of laughter. Your mother was a class act and she is now with Bob. May they both rest in Peace for a job well done. God Bless the entire Hope family.

It is with great respect that we express our heart felt sympathy to the Hope Family. Mrs. Hope was a wonderful woman. Her charitable contributions to our community have touched many lives. She continues to be a role model for our organization She will be greatly missed.

Through the years, our family loved watching Dolores and Bob Hope. They represented all that is best about America and humanity. Bob's beautiful smile and profile, perfect timing and family-friendly songs, jokes and movies, an era that we hope the new generation will watch and try to emulate. We will never forget the beauty and joy we had with Dolores and Bob. After all, laughter is the best medicine. They will always be remembered as building and not destroying and giving much more than they ever took.

i loved bob hope and always admired his lovely wife, dolores. i am not a native memphian, but have lived here for 20+ years. i have (in my address book) a re-print of an article about bob that appeared in our local newspaper when he visited here many years ago. sometimes i find it in my prayer book. how it gets there, i never recall; i figure the Lord put it there. Soooo now i have two hopes to pray for. they are forever in heaven for all the wonderful deeds they did for and in our country. true patriots. i wonder if anyone can ever fill their shoes? NOT!!

What a wonderful legacy the Hopes left. Nice, very classy people. They've had a connection with OH and at Indian Lake where the big bands used to play at Ohio's Million Dollar Payground when it was a simpler place in time.

How can you thank someone you have never met but has been such a big part of your past. watching both of them on TV at holiday time, Watching the news and learning of all the far places they went to try to bring some happiness and a sense of being home to our many troops at the holidays and all through the year. Yes the world has lost some very great people but WE ARE THE LUCKY ones for having known them either in person or through the media. It the way they lived that helped them ot servive as long as they did and I truly hope that there eternal life in Heaven is just as wonderful and blessed as they are. May you rest in Peace Dolores along with your wonderful husband Bob.

I remember her, along with her Husband Bob, now both together again in Haven, will be deeply missed. God bless to the family during this difficult time. Always enjoy their Christimas shows to the troops. True American in every way.

I grow up watching Bob Hope show & am amazed how he was able to keep his professional & private life separate & still maintain both with dignity. To their children / grand children etc look back & enjoy their laughter.

Many times I have visited the Hope Chapel at the Basilica of the National Shrine at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. In fact, I never go there without stopping at the Hope Chapel. It is dedicated to Avis Townes Hope and is just magnificent. You can feel all your troubles lift off your shoulders as you walk into the Chapel. It is the most beautiful feeling in the world, and I would heartily recommend to everyone that they go there.

I am from Erie, PA and it was always very special to me that Mr. and Mrs. Hope married there, though it was long before I was born.

but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.

because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
