I sang in Lakewood choir many years ago. One evening when we were at the church practicing, Dodie was out in the new sanctuary, wiping down the new seats. She was so humble, smiled, and commented that someone needed to do it because we were in God's house. She was warm and her attitude made you want to help her. When practice was over, I stayed for two hours wiping down those seats and praying over them. It was a true blessing to know such a down to earth honorable person, and family. Our family has been going to Lakewood since 1998 John in old building and loved how he loved Dodie on the platform. I kept all the hand written thank you notes over the years for faithful giving. I am sad that we won´t see her anymore, but I am happy that Mrs. Dodie Osteen is in heaven with God Almighty.
