When I decided to start playing drums again I looked up Dom and we did Zoom lessons for two years during the Pandemic. Every Saturday morning . He was the most encouraging teacher I've ever had, Being around Dom's age myself, I wasn't sure if he'd take be on as a student. Boy was I wrong. He not only went thru the entire Stick Control Book with me but taught me so many other things. Of course, he always had a million stories to make the lessons entertaining. I grew up on Long Island but now live in Alabama. He always loved asking me about it. He would finish our lesson and move on to teach students in Norway and even China. Crazy! I saw his laptop several times with his schedule for lessons. Literally he was booked top to bottom every month. I asked him about it. He smiled and said he kept busy! He had a great sense of humor and took an interest my son who is a musician. He got us tickets to NAMM and we met him while we were there. My son still talks about it. Whenever I was on a lesson my son or daughters would walk in and Dom would love to talk to them. We lost him too soon but if anyone lived life to the fullest it was Dom. My sincere condolences to his family. He lives in our memories forever.

And now we truly have a Heavenly Ambassador and Guardian Angel of all drummers around the globe. But Dom Famularo’s legacy of love and zest for life extends to all people in his essence “to matter.” Thank you for your passion. I send much love and appreciation to your sweet family for their sacrifice in sharing so much of their allotted time with others around the world.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Dom in person but did one of his master's classes. He was a great drummer only exceeded by his greatness as a human being! Sadly he will be missed for generations to come.

Thinking of Dom and his lovely family during this time. I didn't know him well but I remember when he came into my school to teach us about drums. A great spirit, a great father.

I am very saddened of the passing of Dom. I met him in the original first LIDC on Merrick road.I took some drum lessons from him as well. He was always such a friendly dignified human being. Always sharing concepts of drumming his purpose in life. All drummers will always miss him and his wisdom.Sure he is teaching on the higher realms.

I loved Dom´s Buddy story the very first time I heard it. He went on to many Mr. Buddy Rich performances with his teacher and dear friend Mr. Al Miller.
