Domingo Gutierrez Canlas, Jr.

Domingo was one of the hardest working men I've ever known. He was a wise and kind man. We've worked over the phone together for the past few years so I never physically met him. But our regular conversations let me know what good people he and Miss Susie were. I will miss working with him. My thoughts and prayers are with Miss Susie and the rest of the Canlas family. Although its been at least twenty years since I last saw Domingo (aka Mr. Domingo), I will never forget the kindness he showed me as a child growing up next door to him and his family. I still tell stories of that kindness to this day. From my earliest memories until the day we moved away, every time I saw Mr. Domingo he would say "Hey buddy, how are you? " and ask me, a small child to a young teenager, a few questions about my life. I can still hear him say it. I just wanted y'all to know he had a lasting effect on my life by setting the bar for what I think a neighbor should be. My condolences to all of the Canlas family.

Blessed to count Domingo as a cherished friend and Domingo was blessed to have a beautiful wife and loving family. He is now in the loving care of his Savior.

He had a profound effect on our lives as my wife Jocelyn and I started our journey as a family when we got married, and through years thereafter. Apart from the substantial knowledge, he shared with us with regards to financial planning, we valued most of all his friendship, camaraderie, generosity of heart, and sincerity. We will always cherish those fond memories of him. He will be greatly missed!

I worked with Domingo in the securities business for several years. Great work ethic, honest and a disposition to work with and help people set up financially for their future. Though he had some health setbacks; he never let it effect his work. He will be missed in the financial industry!
