Just hearing about this now. Coach Ferrara was a wonderful mentor to me. Taught me how to be that floor general yet I learned alot more about life from him. Happy to have been a champion under him at Windsor High. We had 8 guys who could dunk and I´ll never forget his famous words to me as point guard "Blanchard, whatever you do, don´t shoot". He included our entire team as his family, with fond memories of watching college hoops in his home, at the XL Center, even when his boot heel fell off. Obviously, Coach made a big impression on me and sad to hear of his passing. Prayers and condolences to his family, especially Mrs.Ferrara. Great man. With sympathy, Bobby Blanchard

Maryann,
So sorry to hear that Dom has passed away and I know that you were both loving and blessed. I just read this in the Pulaski FB page where we keep up with each other and Dom was mentioned in a wonderful article. I am praying for you to heal and am sorry for your loss. You two did some wonderful things traveling and helping others. Blessings to you ❤

I am so sorry to read about Dom´s passing. He was a great person and coach who impacted the lives of many students. He was someone who made a lasting impression on me. Dom will not be forgotten because of the kind of person he was and how he treated others.

I will see my brother-in-law Dom again. “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.”

My deepest sympathies to the Ferrara family. I learned a lot of great life lessons playing for Coach. He was a great teacher and motivator. Came to understand the importance of perseverance. A lesson I carry to this day.

God Bless you Coach. We did turn the corner.

I am so sorry to hear of Dom's passing. He was an inspiration to me in many ways. I always admired his basketball abilities, but, as great a basketball player as he was, he was as great a person off the court. May he rest in peace.

We grew up with "Donny" (as we called him way back when) on Saltonstall Avenue, New Haven, CT. As a matter of fact, we were next door neighbors for decades. He was always a delight, always smiling. We never met you, Maryann, but our hearts go out to you and your family. The Carrano Family: Al, Pat Appel and Teresa Bracken. Also, the Baldetti Family: Mike Baldetti and Peter Baldetti, deceased.

Maryann, Kimberly, Noelle & all the family

Deepest sympathy in the loss of a beautiful soul. Dom always had a smile on his face whenever I saw him; always quick to say hello & start a conversation. His love for his family & friends was evident as was your love for him. Rest In Peace, Dom.

Coach Ferrara was one of the most incredible people I’ve known in my life ... great coach, teacher and later in life a friend ... I recall my days at Aquinas as among my best, and in no small part because of the influence of Dom Ferrara ... God Bless Coach and his Family

My condolences to the Ferrara family. Coach was one of the great teachers at Windsor High School. I never had the pleasure of playing for him, but I was a spectator many times in that hot, packed gym in Windsor to see many victories. A leader of students he will be missed.
