Dominic LEUNG Obituary
With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Dr. Dominic Man Sun Leung on November 23, 2017.
Dominic is survived by his loving wife, Lillian; son, Anthony (Lily); daughters, Janice, Diane (Boris), and Katherine (Clemens); two grandchildren, Ryan and Alyssa; sisters, Wanda, and Frances (Bruce); as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank Dr. Philip Leong-Sit, Dr. Jennifer Spratlin, the Cross Cancer Institute and the Palliative Care Unit at the Edmonton General Hospital for their
excellent care.
A Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017, at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton. Interment will follow at Evergreen memorial Gardens.
Donations can be made in memory of Dr. Dominic Leung to the Covenant Foundation (Facility: Edmonton General Hospital Palliative Care Unit).

Dr. Leung was my family physician for over 20 years from when he first opened his practice until I moved from Edmonton. He was always caring and professional. He even attended my wedding.

Dr Leung was my doctor for many years. Due to weekly allergy shots, I did see him a lot of times. He was always helpful and patient, and I will miss his "time for another shot?" saying..

Dr. Leung took me on as a patient when he first opened his practice. He was exceptionally kind and gentle. A credit to the medical profession. Many will miss his warm smile. Condolences to all his family.

Heart felt condolences to the entire family. Dr, Leung was a one of a kind Dr. for many years. He took the extra time to make sure you understood what he advised/prescribed and created a true Trust and made you feel like one of his family.

Dominic the memories of you as my helpful classmate during our engineering school years prior to your going into medicine, as the trusting friend and mentor after we came out to work and later as the most caring and patient doctor for me will stay with me forever. Dr.Leung was my family physician for over 30 years. We worked in the same hospital. As decades went by he was more humorous, kind and generous with his wisdom, both Chinese and Canadian! He was a brilliant man and his work as an engineer prior to becoming a physician, was inspired. He became a friend towards the end of his career and I will miss his warm-hearted and gentle spirit with all my heart. Rest In Peace Dominic ❤

Dear Leung Family, please accept my condolences on the passing of Dr. Leung. He was my physician from 1981 until his retirement. He always gave me the best of care and as I face some chronic health problems he was always checking to make sure my quality of life was satisfactory. We enjoyed a good rapport and I appreciate all his work. May you all have fond memories of him to sustain you through this time.

We have lost a stellar member of our generation. An alumnus of the U of A, Dominic excelled in his life's work but never forgot the roots of his upbringing. His legacy of ethical service, strong traditional values, and harmonious assimilation of cultures will continue to inspire future generations of his family. While we his friends and comrades sadly bid him peaceful rest we concurrently celebrate a life well-lived.
