Dear Aunt Jane,
We were so sorry to hear that Uncle Don had passed away. I remember all the lovely parties we went to at your different homes in Pittsburgh and West Virginia. I especially remember the party you had in Pittsburgh after Stephen and my wedding in 1978 it was the first time I met many of the members of the Yednock family. Uncle Don is in our prayers.
Love,
Peg Yednock and family

Doc Martin was a great man. He and his wife were among the first people I met at my first visit to Pitt. He was very good to my whole family and I. He loved Pitt so much, specifically Pitt football. His passion really helped me decide that Pitt was the right choice. I had a few of his classes but my fondest memories were just he and I talking about Pitt history and hunting and fishing. He was a top notch, and passionate Pitt man that was so giving to all of those he met. If Pitt built a building in his honor, it wouldn't be enough to show what Pitt meant to him nor what he did for Pitt. Rest In Peace my friend and we will talk again in paradise. May God heal the grief and loss to your friends and family. H2P Tom T

Our deepest sympathy is extended to the entire Martin family. My family and I will fondly remember the hospitality, friendship, and good times Don and Jane showed us over the years through their support of the Pitt football program. They were such avid fans. May he rest in peace. H2P
