RIP Mr. Don Rickles
I enjoyed watching you on TV in movies and you were the King of the insult act.
Lol! Meaning that when you were in high gear on stage, it was open season on anybody and everybody, out in the audience. I like Your comedy CPO Sharkey tv series, plus I saw you on tv when Elvis approached you on stage, and he asked you to read from a magazine. You read a little bit, and replied to him, like where are we going with this. The magazine was called voice (I think) in 1976, and was to me a funny and awkward moment Lol ! Plus I enjoyed your work, in Kellys Heroes movie in 1971. Thank you for bringing laughter and joy to my family in adverse times. We needed that and got that from you and especially in your insult act on tv or on stage.

Its been nearly 3 years since Mr. Rickles died and over that time I have continued to watch every video of him on YouTube. Thank goodness those videos are there because he was just so funny.....you can see that the world has really lost its humor now that hes gone. Its comforting to watch him in action and remember what the world used to be like. He was a one of a kind talent.

I knew "Donny' as his grandmother used to shout out his name. He was 6 years older then me...I lived and grew up at 89-09 32 Ave Queens...went to Newtown HS, etc. followed his career, never got to meet him ... 6 years age difference meant a lot to kids, I guess.
He will be missed my many to whom he gave many laughs, me included. Adios, Donny.

Don Rickles was quite a character. I watched him on the Tonight Show when I was younger, he and Johnny Carson had good comedic rapport with each other. Very entertaining...
July 22, 2017
God blessed me, along with a few close friends and family members, with the opportunity to enjoy, in person, the great humor of Mr. Don Rickles back in the 1970's at The Latin Casino in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. My friends and I were in college at the time, yes, college kids with a decent sense of humor. Needless to say, he was a riot...a sensational riot!!! We laughed through the entire night and beyond. I am still laughing even now!!! He was just so funny without one vulgar word. Memorable, just memorable. We cannot go back to the days when his humor was appreciated, a time when maybe we did not take our individual humble lives so politically serious. He is probably working on new material right now. Maybe I can meet him up in heaven one day, give him a hug, tell him how much he entertained me in my earthly life and ask him to keep me surrounded with laughter while we are enjoying eternity... TOGETHER!!! In the meantime, I will continue to watch him through technology and invite others to do so as well. It will do all of us good. Thank you, Mr. Warmth!
Prayers for you and your entire family,

It was a very sad on the day Don Rickles passed away on April 6, 2017.
Just hearing his signature matador music La Virgen De La Macarena play to announce his arrival as a frequent Tonight Show guest, instantly made me start to lose it in anticipation of what he was going to do. It was always hysterical whenever he was on the Tonight Show, Dean Martin Roasts, interviews and his guest staring TV roles. Great in movies like Casino and Toy Story and anything else he touched in the world of Entertainment.
He starred in 2 TV shows, has a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, is a winner of an Emmy Award, TV Land Icon Legend Award, The Johnny Carson Award and Friars Club Lifetime Achievement Award. He was Mr. Potato head in Toy Story and on and on. He was the Best Guest on any Talk Show and he was friends with everyone in the Entertainment world. To anyone who knew him, he really was Mr. Warmth and the complete opposite of the persona he presented during his performances.
On countless appearances on countless talk shows, without saying a word and just the expression on his face - I have on countless occasions been instantly reduced to tears from laughing so hard. He was one of a kind, one of the funniest people that ever was. I was born in the 60s and he was always there on TV for as far back as I can remember. I don't know how I or the world will ever get used to his absence. I will search for and collect a copy of every TV special, appearance and performance and I will watch them often.
Many Thanks for the lifetime of laughter you gave us all. Bob Newhart said it best, There will never be another... May you Rest In Peace Mr. Rickles. The world will never be the same without you.
My sincere condolences, to the Family and many Friends of the Great Don Rickles.

Always funny and entertaining. But beyond this, he was class. Condolences to his family and friends. In my darkest days, he was a guy with a shtick that never failed to cheer you up. Made the craziness of life more tolerable. Classic Johnny Carson or Roasts. Along with Robin Williams, will never be anyone better! The other side is a funnier place now. The comedians of today will never get close to what Rickles achieved.

I took Don for granted--he was always
EVERYWHERE--
I just figured that he would keep me
Laughing and happy for --ALWAYS
HE was a very intelligent man--
His decisions were compassionate
And always sensible
The man honored himself, his family,
His profession, his friends
His audience--
He really set high standards for himself-
There weren't any scandals
Connected with him--
He was in the Corner of the Underdog
Because this was a sensible man
He was Balanced
He was Decent
He came from simple roots-
With the best values
And he just went on to
Improve on "simple "
And simply live with the best that
Life has to offer
People like Don-are examples-
THEIR ESSENCE -is what we
Should strive to emulate.
Whenever he opened his mouth
I laughed-and felt TERRIFIC
HE MADE ME FEEL JOYFUL LONG AFTER
HE FINISHED HIS ROUTINE-
That man's Spirit was just One Big Smile-
Comedians are Essential in this world-
His work was Important--

A sincere thank you to Don's family for sharing this absolute genius with the rest of us. Don was the best "in the moment", spontaneous comedian EVER!
Please know that Don impacted more people than you'll ever know. His quick wit was also a lesson in the fallibility of all of us. Thankfully, he was always willing to point this out with a twinkle in his eye. God bless the family, and God bless Don Rickles....

Hello to all the Rickles lovers. We saw Don Rickles for the FIRST time in our front row seats at the South Shore Music Circus in Cohasset, MA.
I'm the one who wanted to see him, my husband said if he picks on me your history. As it turned out he briefly spoke to me and then to my husband. My husband answered and whispered to me, YOUR LUCKY!!
As the years went by we saw him a raft of times and since living in Vegas we saw him twice at the Orleans. Last take was two years ago and bless his heart he was STILL good.
May he rest in peace with all he held dear. Our deepest sympathies goes to Barbara and Mindy. He was one of a kind.

As a kid I would see the commercials for the the Tonight Show that played during prime time and whenever I would see that Don Rickles was hosting that night I would sneak out of bed and set in the hallway behind my parents who were watching Don roast people mercilessly in the audience. I no matter how hard I tried I could never control my laughter which gave me away. I was then yelled at and sent back to bed! There will never be another like him.
