I still miss you & think of you often

Dear Dottie, Dona and Family,

Pastor Charles and I will always hold Dona's memory dear to our hearts. We both loved her.

I'm sorry I was not able to accompany Pastor Charles today for her memorial.

We have many memories that bring smiles to our face, but two that stand out are the visits to support Pastor Charles on his new appointment in Nevada City, and our last appointment here in CC.. It meant the world to us, and oh what a relief to see familiar faces ....

funny thing about her picking up and collecting pennies ... Dona once found a penny in my driveway, picked it up, and told me, I found this in your driveway. I told her the reason it was there - on the face-up side it says 'In GOD we trust'. She made sure it went right back there, and face up. Over the next several years I would occasionally find another penny somewhere in my driveway, once on the porch, and they would be face up. I suspect Dona was leaving them there :)
She has been gone almost 2 months - I miss her ~♡~

Aunt Dona, I was shocked to learn of your passing however, it comforts me to know you are with Scharlene, Billy, and Uncle Gene ands other family & friends. My wonderful memories of you are endless and one especially stands out the most. When I was a little girl you used to read bedtime stories to me and told me about the Sandman before I went to sleep. When I think about it, it warms my heart. Now you are flying with the angels and looking down from above.

Oh how I'm going to miss this wonderful lady. I looked forward to her coming into our office 2-3 times a year. She always had a box of Fiddle Faddle for our employee snack table and an Avon lip gloss for me. I will miss hugging you my dear, sweet friend. You were most definitely one of the special angels here on earth. You touched me deeply with your sweetness and compassion. You always had a smile on your face and a positive outlook on life. What I wouldn't give for just one more hug from you. Rest well, Dona. I will love you forever and will miss you with all my heart. Glenna Urton

Dona was a sweet lady, always a kind word for everyone she met. I knew Dona through our library collaborations and the work we completed for the children's Author Festival of Humboldt County. She was a special person and I will miss her wit, humor and smile. In her honor, I will be making a donation to the 2017 Author Festival. We all will miss her.

To the family of Dona, I will always remember Dona and the love she had for my uncle Gene Wright. She was a tiny little thing but she had a lot of strength. Rest in peace Dona, I enjoyed the last lunch we had together.
