So sad to hear this. Donnie was a very sweet man, full of life, and always smiling. We sure do miss him. Our condolences to the family and Mrs. Ida Stringer. Rest easy Buddy. - Staff at One Park Place.

Spent the night thinking of the impact of this man, Don Layton:
Surrogate grandparent (Merry Christmas kids!)
Advice for the serious gardener (at 6:00 am!)
Hunting buddy to my boys (squirrels, deer, and the occasional thieving varmint)
Trunk loads of sweet corn to can (Miss Teresa is gonna shoot me!)
Incredible cook (fish fry host and master chef of all comfort food)
Sincere and ready smile (and sense of humor to go with it you can just see him, big grin, shoulders shaking up and down, wiping his eyes laughing to tears)
Passionate about his church; committed compassion that was backed up by action.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
One of the biggest hearted men you will ever meet, seriously! Whatever you needed, Bro. Don was ready to help.
Through our tears we say, Bro. Don, you will be missed!
