I knew Don Bartz through his daughter Roberta. She is and has been a close friend to me since we were roommates at the University of Wisconsin in Superior. I met her father many times. He was an out-going man and seemed to enjoy good company and good conversation. The one thing I will always remember is this -- he sure made a damn good cup of coffee!

Don was a first cousin that I didn't stay in touch with but kept up with his activities through my sister Beryl, who corresponded with Don from time to time. I remember Don as a class guy that I looked up to as a youngster. I did know that Don jr was in Forrest City, so was not surprised to read about Don sr in the on line addition of the MC paper, where I keep up on activities from my old home area that I left over 40 years ago. Should the occasion arise that I get thru Forrest City, I'll give you a call on the land line. Bill

I worked with Don for several years at Durex Products in Luck, Wi when Don was semi retired. We had many lunches together and I always enjoyed his company. I regret that I lost touch with him a few years after leaving Durex. I remember him as a true gentleman and I will miss him.
