I am at a loss. Donnie and I were at Southeast together and I was the Captain of the Pom-Pom Squad Senior year! He was always teasing me. He had a wonderful personality which will be forever missed! I was not aware of his death until now and it truly breaks my heart.
May God bless you forever and may the angels keep you company for eternity. Rest in Heavenly slumber my old friend.

When my brother, Andy, called me and told me, I was at a loss for words. Donnie B. was one of those people who, if he liked you, he loved you but if he didn't deal with you, that person would never know because he treated everyone with respect. He was always smiling and happy. I believe his greatest joy was to be working at Southeast High School. He was a diehard Spartan and cherished that school with his whole heart. Livingston and Manor Avenue will never be the same in the warm months; because his presence was a staple on his red Moped (he started out on a 10-speed almost daily riding hands free). My thoughts and prayers are towards his family and close friends in this (so) sudden loss of a life who loved life.

It is with a broken heart that I offer my deepest sympathy to the family of Donnie Brandon. As he leaves our Southeast Family here on earth he joins the Heavenly team of former Southeast Basketball players. Donnie will once again be a Winner as he always was on earth. His big smile and his basketball ability will be welcomed by the Southeast Heaven Team. Donnie, play your heart out for eternity!! Know that you will always be missed here on earth.

Donnie B. was a very joyful man. His love for life could be seen in the sparks of his eyes, his grin that from ear to ear, and the quickness in his steps while dancing. He always called me by my first name, and commented on the whiteness of my tennis shoes. What a dear friend he was. ❤
